Well-child visits

The best time for you and your child to establish a relationship with a pediatrician is before your child becomes sick. Well-child visits are an important part of your child's ongoing health care. To schedule your child's well-patient visit:

• Call our office at 336-277-7030 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Schedule an appointment online using MyChart.

Newborn care

The doctors at Novant Health Meadowlark Pediatrics provide comprehensive care for newborns. If you choose our office for your child's care before birth and you deliver at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, one of our providers will make every effort to see your baby before you are discharged from the hospital. After you take your new arrival home, you will visit our office regularly, at:

• 1 week old
• 2 weeks old
• 4 weeks old
• 2 months old
• 4 months old
• 6 months old
• 9 months old

Toddler care

When your child is less than three years old, you will likely have doctor's appointments every 6 months. This is to check growth and development, and administer recommended immunizations.

Appointments for older children

Children older than three years of age are typically seen for well-patient visits once a year. Your provider will monitor growth and development, administer immunizations and address any concerns. If your child needs a school or sports physical form completed, this can often be done during their annual well-patient visit. Please alert our office in advance if your child needs one of these forms filled out so we can make sure we offer the services you need and allow the time to complete needed forms.
